Padraig, also known as the Street Children Ringleader, is a minor antagonist in Wolfwalkers, he is a young bully in the town of Kilkenny.

History[]

Padraig's says his father was a hunter and that the Lord Protector put him in chains for no reason. The film shows that Bill, an experienced wolf hunter, had no luck capturing wolves and kept returning empty-handed. This implies that the Lord Protector may have initially hired Padraig's father, being a native Irishman, to clear out the wolves and when he didn't succeed, he was thrown in chains and Bill was called for.

He lives in Kilkenny with the street kids, playing a game where they pretend to hunt wolves. He was first seen when Robyn stumbled across their game and he started to harass her. He tries to take Robyn's crossbow, but she pushes him away, and the street kids try to gang up on her, but the arrival of Bill Goodfellowe causes them to scatter.

He was seen when Robyn was returning home from the scullery, and Padraig makes fun of her appearance as a maid instead of a hunter. His last appearance is when Robyn frees Móll, and he is seen in the crowd staring as Robyn rides past him while riding Móll.

Personality[]

Padraig is a bit of a bully, forcing children who appear unwilling to play as the wolf that get hunted in the street kids' games, and also taunting Robyn. He is also angry about his father being put in chains, which has developed into a hatred of the English.
